While there are artificial spider repellents, they are dangerous from health point. Hence, we will look at a few natural spider repellent sprays which can be made in our homes.
All Natural Spider Repellent Spray
- Ingredients Needed
We can use water mixed with some essential oils along with apple cider vinegar. It can be bottled and be sprayed in areas where spiders are frequently seen.

However, you need to keep these mixtures away from furniture and upholsteries because it will leave a stain behind.
- How To Make This All Natural Spider Repellent
All you need is 1 are 1 quart water, 3 drops peppermint essential oil, 3 drops lavender essential oil and 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar. The entire ingredients should be mixed to the water and shaken properly.
- Where And How To Apply Them
The solution should be sprayed inside cracks, doors, and windows, fixtures. It should be applied once a week during peak seasons. Four weeks of applications should be good enough to see some good results.
Orange Peels As Spider Repellents
- Spiders Are Allergic To Citrus Odor
Spiders are averse to citrus odors and therefore you could use orange peels to keep them at bay. You can use peels of lemons or grapefruit but orange is the easiest to use.
- How To Make Them
The orange peels must be cut into small quarter inch chunks. The chunks must be put in boiling water and it should be left overnight. The chunks should be strained and quarter cup of witch hazel should be added to the water.
- How To Preserve It And Where To Spray
It should be kept in a spray bottle and you should shake it well. The solution should be sprinkled in cabinets, under the sink and other such areas. It should be done at least four times a week for around a month for best results.
